VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

All volunteers must complete an Aledo ISD background check before they can volunteer. This can be done here:
Background Check Application
Depending on the type of volunteer position, you may need to be fingerprinted as well. If this is the case, you will be contacted by a member of the Aledo ISD HR Dept with further instructions.
Please note, the burden of cost for fingerprinting lies with the volunteer.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER

Are you ready for some football?

It's time to sign up to feed the band before football games. Away games, they eat at 4:00 and home games at 5:30.
Please be sure to do your volunteer background check this is a district requirement for working with students (link at top of page).
As always, thank you parents for volunteering your time! We wouldn't be able to succeed without your help.
Help make a positive impact!
It takes an army of parents to make our Band Program the success that it is. Getting involved is also a great way to meet other parents

CONCESSIONS

FOOTBALL GAMES:
Help work the concession stand during home games. The Boosters receive a portion of the profits at the end of the season. This is a huge money maker for the Boosters. There are 2 shifts to choose from and the work is not difficult. Your main function it to take orders, fill orders, & accept payments. Bonus for concession volunteers...Entry into the stadium is free and there are TVs in the stand playing the game!

OTHER EVENTS
We also sell concessions during certain events (e.g. UIL, NATP, etc.).
If you are interested in helping with concessions, please contact our Concessions Chair.

SERVING MEALS TO THE REGIMENT

We serve lunch to the Regiment during Summer Band as well as dinner prior to every football game. This is a great way to serve our students and meet other Regiment parents! If you are interested in helping with food services please contact one of the Band Directors.

PROP PARENT

Prop Parents are parents who are willing to meet us at ALL games and ALL contests. Your sole job would be to help unload/load props to/from the truck, assemble props if necessary, & to help push the props on/off the field during halftime/performance times. Bonus for Prop Parents: You get to watch the show from the sidelines & contest entry for you will be free with a badge from us! If this is something you would be interested in helping out with, the Regiment needs you! There will be a lot of props and it takes many hands to get these set up quickly!

Please also understand that you will be meeting us at the location, you will not be riding a bus. If this is something that you would like to do, please contact Mr. Albin.

MERCHANDISE SALES

Help sell spirit wear and goods during the home football games.  Duties also include setting up and tearing down the booster club's table. Come be a smiling face and help spread the Bearcat spirit. Bonus for merchandise volunteers...Entry into the stadium is free!
If you are interested in helping with concessions, please contact our Merchandise Chair!

FUNDRAISING

Volunteers help in a variety of ways with different fundraisers. This is one of our biggest need for parents, as we hold many different fundraising events throughout the year and it takes many people to make these events happen. We always need assistance finding sponsors (corporate &/or individual), Silent Auction items, coordinating events, filling orders, donating time to work an event, etc. Check out our Fundraising page over the course of the year to learn about upcoming fundraising and any help we may need.

CHAPERONE

Chaperones are director appointed. Chaperoning is a long-term commitment that has the great responsibility of ensuring the safety of all the students as well as helping the directors coordinate logistics of games, competitions, over-night trips, etc. Chaperones are not only background checked but they are fingerprinted, as well. They also go through training to become First Aid/AED/CPR certified.

Some of the chaperones hold additional positions they are responsible for other than ensuring the safety of your children. These responsibilities include Lead Chaperone, Equipment Manager, Food Services, Uniform, and Guard Rep.

If you would like to be considered for a chaperone position, when available, the best place to start is by volunteering to become a Prop Parent, serving meals to the Regiment, etc.
